Dr. Earl B. Hartzog

Dr. Earl B. Hartzog is the proud owner and lead dentist at Bamberg Dentistry, serving South Carolina communities with exceptional, compassionate dental care. A 2009 graduate of the MUSC James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine, Dr. Hartzog is dedicated to continuing the legacy of excellence built by local dental pioneers.

In 2011, Dr. Hartzog founded Bamberg Dentistry by consolidating the long-standing practices of Dr. E. Gary Jeffords and Dr. Allen Webb, following the earlier acquisition of Denmark Dentistry from the estate of Dr. Samuel Broughton Baker, Jr. These distinguished dentists each served their communities for over 30 years, setting a standard of personalized, community-centered dental care that Dr. Hartzog proudly upholds today.

Focused on delivering comprehensive, modern dentistry close to home, Dr. Hartzog has expanded Bamberg Dentistry to include specialized services in oral surgery and orthodontics. Partnering with Dr. Drane Oliphant, DMD, MD (Oral Surgery) and Dr. Dawes Edwards, DMD, MS (Orthodontics), Bamberg Dentistry offers patients access to expert specialty care without the need to travel to larger cities.

With a commitment to advanced technology, patient-centered service, and strong doctor-patient relationships, Dr. Hartzog and the Bamberg Dentistry team strive to provide outstanding dental care in a friendly, welcoming environment. Dr. Shelly Catlett

Dr. Shelly Catlett, a proud native of Cope, SC, is dedicated to providing exceptional dental care to the Bamberg community. After graduating at the top of her class from Edisto High School, Dr. Catlett earned her bachelor’s degree magna cum laude with honors from Coker College, where she also excelled as an NCAA collegiate softball player. She went on to complete her dental education at the prestigious Medical University of South Carolina, graduating in 2013.

Following dental school, Dr. Catlett returned home with a mission to give back to the community that helped shape her journey. She brings a personalized, compassionate approach to Bamberg Dentistry, combining advanced dental techniques with a true commitment to patient-centered care. Dr. Catlett currently lives in Cope with her beloved mini-schnauzer, Riggs. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with family, gardening, and traveling to new places.

Dr. Santana Jones

A native of South Carolina, Dr. Jones has been providing exceptional general dentistry for children for over five years. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina in Columbia and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Meharry Medical College in May 2016.

Dr. Jones is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the South Carolina Dental Association (SCDA), and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD). Her passion for dentistry shines through in the gentle, patient-centered care she provides to every child she treats. With a warm, friendly approach, Dr. Jones helps young patients feel comfortable, building positive dental experiences that last a lifetime.

When she’s not creating healthy smiles, Dr. Jones enjoys running, golfing, shopping, and reading. She is honored to serve families across South Carolina and looks forward to helping your child achieve a lifetime of healthy, happy smiles.
